Amin Saidoun (https://www.linkedin.com/in/amin-saidoun) completed his studies in business administration in France and Germany and has a Master’s degree in European Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Sciences. Amin is presently enrolled in a part-time PhD programme on project management at the international university Alma Mater Europaea.
He has 31 years of working experience in operations and projects gained first in international auditing and consulting in Düsseldorf (https://www.grantthornton.de/en/locations/)
He then worked for seven years or Deutsche Post/DHL in Bonn and Madrid (www.dhl.com), a large multinational company in the logistics sector prior to becoming a board member of Institut Max von Laue-Paul Langevin in Grenoble www.ill.eu, a large scale fundamental research facility that produces neutrons for society.
In 2012 he was appointed Executive Director of the International Project Management Association (www.ipma.world) an international non-profit federation of 70 project management organisations, operating in 70 countries. It was founded in 1965 and is registered in Zürich (CH).
As Executive Director, Amin Saidoun is responsible for managing IPMA’s overall operations, finance, advocacy, and partnerships. He is also responsible for the Region Middle East and Africa where he initiated the start-up of several project management organisations. He finally develops with the President of IPMA the alliances and partnerships to engage with new stakeholders and develop the outreach and visibility of IPMA and the profession worldwide.
Amin Saidoun has published various articles in the field of project management. His particular interests are diversity in project-oriented organisations and projects and project management in non-profit organisations. He is a regular speaker and moderator at conferences and project management-related events.
